AASHE is a professional, membership-based association of colleges and universities working to advance sustainability in higher education in the U.S. and Canada. The association also provides a professional home for campus sustainability coordinators, directors, and other practitioners. Its mission is to promote sustainability in all sectors of higher education – from governance and operations to curriculum and outreach – through education, communication, research and professional development. AASHE Partners include Businesses, NGO's, and government agencies.
AASHE's website houses many resources to assist members in their campus sustainability efforts, including a sustainability policy bank, a campus sustainability professionals page, interest groups, publications, and classroom resources, as well as useful links for virtually every aspect of campus operations. While most resources are members-only, several are available to everyone. Everyone is welcome to subscribe to AASHE Bulletin, a free, weekly e-newsletter offering a compilation of the latest campus sustainability news stories, events, resources and opportunities.
