State of the States: Registration Open!
January 12, 2010
** Link to register in the Member Area; Non-members call 646-747-2655 ** This is not an SOS distress call, but the 2010 Briefing (Hit the “Re-Set” Button? Or TILT?) comes at a pivotal moment for those funding and managing state efforts. First, states are grappling with mounting budget deficits, the need to provide essential services (health and education), and strategies to reverse unemployment. Second, the federal government has provided a massive infusion of stimulus money with expectations for tangible results. Third, federal policies for global warming, health care and jobs will fall to the states to implement. So, challenges and opportunities abound for state and regional environmental grantmakers.
The discounted hotel rate ($129/night) deadline is Friday, January 22nd.
The early bird registration rate ($425 members /$600 non-members) deadline is Friday, February 12th.
