About the Rooms

Historic rooms are located in buildings that were designed by architect Julia Morgan and built between 1913 and 1928. The rooms feature hardwood floors, rustic California furnishings, and private baths, and their size and quantity of beds vary from one single bed to two double beds. All of the historic lodging buildings have a common living room with a fireplace, for lounging and reading.

Some of the standard rooms are located in buildings designed by architect John Carl Warnecke and built in a style complementary to Julia Morgan’s. Standard rooms are more contemporary than the historic rooms and include a private bathroom and shower. Some also have a patio or balcony, and some feature a fireplace. Size and quantity of beds vary in rooms, but in most the common combinations are: two double beds; one double and one single bed; one queen and one single bed; or four single beds.

Commuter Daily Rate: $64.75 per day grounds fee, including meals (plus taxes and gratuity). Request a commuter form from EGA or download a copy from EGA’s registration website. Payment is made directly to Asilomar Conference Center. This fee is in addition to the EGA day registration rate for those not lodging at Asilomar.
