Ad Hocs and Poster Sessions

The 2005 Fall Retreat Program Committee invites members to directly participate in this year’s retreat agenda by producing ad hoc or poster sessions. If you have a particular funding interest, program or initiative that you would like to discuss with your colleagues, please consider organizing an ad hoc or poster session.

AD HOCS

Ad hocs are a vital part of the retreat program and provide an invaluable opportunity to get together with other like-minded funders.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THEY HELD?

Ad hocs will be held during breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday morning of the Retreat from 8:00 - 9:00 am.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Submit the following information to Sarah Hansen at shansen@ega.org:

  • Title of the ad hoc session
  • Name and contact information of ad hoc organizer
  • A three-sentence description of the ad hoc topic

To be included in the registration materials, ad hoc submissions must be received no later than August 21st .

Note: Ad hocs are funder only conversations.  Resource people may not be invited to present at ad hoc sessions.

POSTER SESSIONS

Common in academic meetings, poster sessions will give you a chance to talk with colleagues while viewing displays of various current issues. Presenters will each have a 6-foot table on which to place their display poster and handouts.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THEY HELD?

The poster session reception will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00–7:00 pm.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Submit the following information to Sarah Hansen at shansen@ega.org:

  • Title of the poster session
  • Name and contact information of poster organizer
  • A three-sentence description of the poster topic

Poster submissions must be received no later than August 21.Due to time and space constraints, we will have to limit the number of poster sessions to 20. After you have registered, we will provide you with more detailed guidelines about your display. Note: Poster sessions are funder-only conversations.
