If you do not already have a password for the Members Only section of the EGA Website, please register online or e-mail oiyayi@ega.org for help.

Help us practice what we preach.  Registering for the Fall Retreat electronically is a faster, more efficient process that allows us to save time, energy, paper and other resources.  Visit the 2004 Fall Retreat webpage to submit your registration form and pay your registration fees (with a major credit card).  Online registrants are automatically added to the participant list and emailed a registration confirmation.

Lodging

To reserve a room, please call Linda Balmore in reservations at the Hyatt Regency Kaua‘i at 808-742-1234.  Be sure to mention that you are with the EGA Fall Retreat.

Room Shares

Many of the guest rooms are designed for multiple occupancy.  We encourage you to share a room.  Please visit our bulletin board in the Member Area section of the EGA website, www.ega.org, to coordinate with other members.

Weather

October in Kaua‘i sees temperatures in the 80s F during the day to the mid 60s F at night.  Pack for warm weather but bring some layers for indoors and evenings.

Dress

Dress is casual at this year's fall retreat; although the Hyatt Kaua‘i asks that we not wear shorts, t-shirts or swim attire at dinner.  Don't forget your bathing suit if you want to visit the beach or use the pool in the health club/spa!

Childcare

Children of all ages are welcome at the Fall Retreat.  We will be working with the Hyatt to offer children's programs through “Camp Hyatt” during the day.  Please let us know if you will be interested, 212-812-4260.

Technical Lounges

Due to our budget cut-back this year we will not have a technical lounge for registrants at the retreat.  However, there is a small business center at the Hyatt Kaua‘i, which will be open during office hours.

EGA Bookstore

Bookworms can peruse the works of our speakers, colleagues and other environmental writers in the new EGA bookstore set up in the central meeting area.
