Getting to the Hyatt Kaua‘i

We Recommend

You can either fly directly to Lihue, the commercial airport on Kaua‘i, or fly into Honolulu and take an inter-island flight to Lihue. From Lihue you can rent a car, or catch a taxi for $35-40.

We recommend booking your travel early with EGA’s official travel agent, Christine Alexander at Northside Travel at 510.843.1855, toll-free at 800.575.3411, or by email at christine@berkeley4travel.com.

Lihue Airport

There are only four non-stop flights per day from the continental US west coast to Lihue: two from San Francisco (SFO) on United and two from Los Angeles (LAX) on United and American. Many non-stop flights are available to Honolulu from SFO, LAX, Seattle, Portland OR, San Jose, Oakland, San Diego, Burbank, Ontario, Orange County, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago and Newark.

Inter-island flights from Honolulu to Lihue are about 30 minutes in length and departures start as early as 5:30am. Inter-island flights are small; early arrivals in Honolulu are recommended. The LAST inter-island flight from Honolulu to Lihue leaves at 7pm. To catch this flight you must arrive in Honolulu by 5:30pm.

From Lihue Airport

Drive West onto Ahukini Road past the first stop light. Turn left at the next stop light (across from Kentucky Fried Chicken) onto Hwy 56. Stay on your right and continue on to Highway 50.
