Retreat Registration and Information

Register and submit payment through WWW.EGA.ORG

Help us practice what we preach. Registering for the Fall Retreat electronically is a faster, more efficient process that allows us to save time, energy, paper and other resources. Visit the Members Only section to submit your registration form and pay your registration fees (with a major credit card). Online registrants are automatically added to the participant list and emailed a registration confirmation with helpful travel and lodging information.

Access to the Members Only section

If you do not already have a password for the Members Only section of the EGA Website, please e-mail Polly Withers at pwithers@ega.org to request one.

Room Shares

Please visit our bulletin board in the Members Only section of the website to coordinate room shares with other members.

Weather

Pack for warm weather but bring some layers just in case. For up-to-date weather forecasts for the Ottawa area during our retreat, check out AccuWeather.com.

Dress

Dress is casual at this year's fall retreat, although the Fairmont Château Laurier asks that we not wear shorts, t-shirts or swim attire at dinner. Don’t forget your bathing suit if you want to use the pool in the health club/spa!

Childcare

Children of all ages are welcome at the Fall Retreat. While the Fairmont Château Laurier will not be operating children’s programs during the Fall Retreat, the concierge can help you locate a babysitter. Call 613-241-1414 for more information.

Technical Lounges

Due to our budget cut-back this year we will not have a technical lounge for registrants at the retreat. However, there is a small business center at the Fairmont Château Laurier, which will be open during business hours, and internet service is available in all guest rooms.

EGA Bookstore

Bookworms can peruse the works of our speakers, colleagues and other environmental writers in the new EGA bookstore which will be set up in the central meeting area.
