About the Fairmont Château Laurier

Often dubbed "the third chamber of Parliament" because of the politicians who regularly roam the corridors, the truly grand Fairmont Château Laurier is located next door to the Parliament Buildings in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. The design, combining the French Renaissance style with the neo-Gothic vertical lines of the Parliament Buildings, is a magnificent limestone edifice with turrets and masonry reminiscent of a French château.

Area attractions include the Rideau Canal with miles of bicycle and inline skating paths, the world's longest skating rink and the Gatineau Hills with opportunities for hiking, biking and canoeing.
